Ireland's Third Level Graduate Programme (Stay-Back)

After completing a degree in Ireland, non-EEA graduates receive a Third Level Graduate Programme permission to remain in Ireland and seek employment. This is essentially a 2-year post-study work permit that converts to an employment permit if you get a qualifying job offer.

  • Duration 1 year (for NFQ Level 8 degrees) or 2 years (for NFQ Level 9/10 — Master's and PhD)
  • Full work authorisation — can work for any employer
  • After 2 years of employment, you can apply for Critical Skills Employment Permit for PR pathway
  • Irish naturalisation possible after 5 years of legal residence

Ireland Student Visa Requirements for Indians
